Vernon High School Baseball recognized and honored a long time coach Tuesday night. The Vernon High School baseball field will be known as Mac Alford Field for here on out in honor of a coach that impacted many young athletes over the years. Coach Alfords family was joined by many previous athletes, from multiple generations, joined the baseball team on the field as current coach Tray Hawkins presented the honor Tuesday night. The boys then pulled out a 13-2 victory against Malone to end the historic night.
